Cannon is known as the ‘Legend’ boasting the longest vertical in New Hampshire and some of the most famous runs in the East.  However some of the best beginner areas anywhere combined with fantastic accommodation and unrivalled après ski ensure Cannon should be near the top of your for consideration list for a US school ski trip.

New Hampshire Combi Ski…

Cannon is ideally located in between Waterville Valley and Loon, two other premier New Hampshire resorts.  Why not combine your trip to Cannon with one of New Hampshire’s other excellent ski resorts to make the very most of your USA ski trip? The nearby resorts of Waterville Valley and Loon each offer their own unique set of challenges and rewards to keep your students happy.  As an added bonus, there is no change in cost to your group for skiing more than one resort!  Enquire for more information.

The Skiing…

Cannon is split into two distinct areas, Cannon Mountain and Mittersill.  Mittersill offers some advanced glade skiing that is unique in style to Cannon.  Your group will probably spend their time on Cannon Mountain as it offers a wider variety of runs that is suitable for your whole group, no matter what level.  Tuckerbrook is a simply fantastic beginner’s area that is unrivalled in New Hampshire and beyond.  This large area offers beginners a chance to ski on long, gentle slopes without the intimidation of fast skiers whizzing past – a great attribute for Cannon.  Over on Cannon Mountain proper, over 70% of trails are dedicated to beginner and intermediate skiers ensuring that most schools will find the perfect terrain to test their group.  However Cannon is not known as the ‘Legend’ for nothing, with some black diamond runs higher up Cannon Mountain, known as the ‘Front5’.  Cannon offers great choice and variety for your group with amazing views to boot!

The Snowfall…

With 95% of Cannon Mountain supported by cutting edge snow-making infrastructure, combined with Mother Nature providing over 4 metres of snowfall each season ensures that Cannon is a snow-sure resort leaving you to concentrate on skiing without worrying about snow conditions.  The season is long, from November through until mid-April each year.

Off the Slopes…

Ski Adaptable offer a range of accommodation in nearby Lincoln and Waterville, all of which provide swimming pools and plenty of space for your group for activities such as quiz nights, karaoke and discos.  In Lincoln itself, the town has an array of shops and cafes, and even builds its very own ‘Frozen’ styled ice castle each season.  Nearby Waterville Valley Town Square provides a fantastic venue for school groups to explore, with a traffic free square which has dozens of quant, tax-free shops, an ice rink and more.  Evening outings to shopping retail outlets to take advantage of tax-free shopping in New Hampshire can be arranged in addition to bowling, cinema with dinner evenings, quiz nights, ice hockey matches, Funspot arcade and bowling centre and sleigh rides.
