Where to go on a School Ski Trip to Italy

Here at Adaptable Travel, we offer all inclusive ski packages for schools and colleges to Italy. Our resorts in Italy offer amazing views, heaps of snow, culture and fantastic apres ski activities with offerings for all different age ranges.

We offer trips to Folgaria, Passo Tonale, Val di Fassa and Sauze d’Oulx so would love to tell you a little bit about each one to make your decision on which to pick a little clearer:

Folgaria

A school ski trip to Folgaria is a pretty magical experience. The resort is sat high in the Great Highlands of Trentino and has excellent lifts, friendly locals, brilliant accommodation and a unique Italian charm which keeps school groups returning year after year.

Folgaria resort is best suited to beginner and intermediate groups as Folgaria and the next door Lavarone is forested which means that it gives you great protection from the weather and it also has some great green slopes and wide blue runs. The intermediate skiers will also be able to have a go on the red runs that criss-cross the resorts. For the very competent skiers, there are also a selection of black runs.

Off the slopes, Folgaria and Lavarone have a fantastic Italian charm - this, coupled with the huge amount of evening activities in the hotels and town is one of the reasons school groups keep returning every year.

Passo Tonale

Passo Tonale is quickly becoming one of the most popular school trip resorts, due to its snow-sure, large variety slopes, super fast lifts, great value packages and a fabulous choice of accommodation options.

In Passo Tonale, you will get to experience the Adamello Ski area which is also linked to Ponte di Legno. This gives fantastic views of the Present Glacier which makes your ski on the Tonale slopes feel like a real achievement. The slopes are suitable for beginners and intermediates with a mixture of gentle slops and more testing ones.

A unique selling point of Passo Tonale is how ‘snow-sure’ it is - it snows all year round on the Presener Glacier! Even off the slopes it has a lot to offer… From ice skating to snowshoeing, night skiing and swimming.

Val di Fassa

This beautiful resort offers an authentic Italian atmosphere which is combined with some top-class skiing. Our cosy and high standard commendation in Val di Fassa makes for a fantastic retreat - and the offer of incredible Italian food is unbeatable!

Boasting some of the best skiing in Italy, it has over 200km of slopes that will be included on your lift pass. The slopes offer a little bit for everyone: beginner to advanced and everything in-between! Val di Fassa is made up of 7 resorts which are interlinked, giving you a great variety to choose from. Off the slopes, there are lots of indoor options such as ice skating, bowling, night skiing, ice hockey matches to keep your students entertained throughout the night.

Sauze d’Oulx

This is a beautiful, rustic village which has links to the stunning and extensive Vialettea and Milky Way ski area which offer 400km of runs! Sauze itself is fabulous for intermediate skiers with plenty of tree-lined runs to enjoy. There is also a beginners area which is known for great English-speaking instructors and a there’s an easy connection for more advanced skiers to head out to the black runs at Sestriere, Mount Motta, Mont Sises and Olympic Kandahar.

Whilst Sauze is well known in Britain, the neighbouring resort, Turin is popular with local Italians making it the perfect, authentic trip to include on your school ski trip. Similarly to our other resorts, the apres ski activities in Sauze are vast, with options to ice skate, bowl, pizza, swimming and discos.
